Will my business benefit from accepting credit & debit cards?

Yes, in today’s economic climate, most consumers and an increasing percentage of businesses expect to be able to use credit & debit cards to pay for their goods and services. Taking card payments means that customers can choose how they pay you and they aren’t restricted to the amount of cash that they have in their pocket.

How do credit & debit card payments compare to cash?

In today’s market, accepting credit and debit cards is the preferred method of payment. Since 2006, more payments have been made by card than by cash.

Surveys consistently show that customers who pay by cards also spend much more than they do by either cash and cheques, sometimes more than twice as much.

What are the benefits of taking credit and debit cards?

  • Offering your customers a choice – people expect to be able to pay by credit and debit cards -  if you only accept cash and cheques, you will be losing custom.
  • Impulse Buying / Trading Up – if you only take cash, then your customer can only spend what they have in their pocket. If they can use their debit or credit card then they are not as restricted and will often spend more money or make an impulse purchase
  • Improved Security for you and your Customer – if you accept cards you can keep less cash on your premises and your customers don’t have to worry about taking out cash to pay you.
  • Gain a wider customer base – card payments also give you the option of taking payment by phone and mail order.

What do I need to start taking credit and debit cards?

The main things you need to start accepting credit and debit card payments are:

  1. A merchant account
  2. A terminal to process payments by credit and debit card

Payzone will take the hassle out of accepting cards by providing both of these for you.

What will it cost me to process credit and debit card transactions?

Payzone’s fees are often the most competitive in the market place.  In fact, Payzone customers typically enjoy rates that are 50% lower than competitor rates. In addition, we guarantee that the rates you pay for your Payzone terminal will be capped for 5 years.
